About the Role
Join BHHEP as a Drug & Alcohol Therapist – No Weekends in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- include conducting intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering ongoing therapy and supportive counseling.
- They monitor client progress, participate in case consultations, and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure effective care.
- Accurate documentation and adherence to Merakey, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare (DPW), and Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) policies and confidentiality standards are essential.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of counseling experience (at least 1,820 hours) in a health or human services setting, preferably in a drug and alcohol treatment environment.
- Candidates without prior experience in a drug and alcohol treatment setting must provide a written training plan outlining development of competency in chemical dependency counseling.
- Additional education or specialized training in human services or counseling fields related to substance use treatment is strongly preferred.

- Salary: $28 - $40/hr
