About the Role

Join Women's College Hospital as a Social Worker - Toronto Academic Pain Medicine Institute in United States.

Key Responsibilities

-, but not limited to: Patient Assessment: Provide psychosocial assessment for patients and their families by collecting data through a therapeutic relationship with the patient.

  • Formulate assessment findings and determine suitability for appropriate resources.
  • Consult with team members and participate in team discussion regarding assessment and treatment, when required.
  • Care Planning: Develop an intervention plan in collaboration with patients, significant others and the interdisciplinary team, based on identified needs and patient goals.

Requirements

  • Experience working with chronic pain patients an asset.
  • Certified CBT, ACT and/or MSC an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adjust language and terminology to suit the individual patient or patient group (including cultural sensitivity).

  • Hourly rate: $58/hr.
