This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

About the Role

Join Mayo Clinic Jacksonville as an Academic Hospitalist specializing in Hospital Medicine. This full-time position involves caring for complex patients in a 320-bed academic hospital with a focus on oncology, transplant, and stroke care.

Key Responsibilities

Work variable day schedules (7 on/7 off or 5 on/5 off) with additional night and admitter shifts.
Manage 16-18 patient contacts per day across 5 hospitalist services.
Engage with learners at various levels and participate in clinical research.
Utilize procedural and point-of-care ultrasound skills (preferred).
Collaborate with dedicated intensivists managing a closed ICU.

Requirements

Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine.
Florida medical licensure or eligibility required.
At least one year post-residency experience preferred.
Demonstrated scholarly activity within the past three years.
