MEDICAL COUNSELOR (Bayside, NY)

About the Role

Join Life's WORC as a Medical Counselor – $22.75-24.30/hr in United States. * 40 hours per week (Mon - Fri 6am-2pm) * The pay rate is 22.75-24.

Key Responsibilities

• Accompany and advocate for individuals on medical/dental appointments and emergency room visits

• Schedule all medical appointment in coordination with the Nurse and Manager

• Maintenance of a medical appointment calendar in coordination with the Nurse and Manager

• Meets with the Nurse and Manger weekly to coordinate information brought to and from appointments

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred

• Minimum six months’ experience with Life’s WORC or similar agency in capacity of Support Counselor or in another health related field

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $22.75 - $24.30/hr

Work Schedule

• Full-Time position.

• Day shift only - no nights.
