About the Role
Join Community Mainstreaming Associates as a Medical Counselor – Resident Support in [object Object]. Areas of Responsibilities: Resident Support and Oversight: * Assist with personal care, nutrition, hygiene, and meal planning. * Ensure safety and educate residents on their medical conditions and medication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, nutrition, hygiene, and meal planning.
- Ensure safety and educate residents on their medical conditions and medication.
- Administer medication (including insulin/tube feeding as required by the residents’ treatment plans) according to New York State AMAP regulations.
- Support residents in scheduling medical appointments, advocating during visits. and ensure medical follow
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED + 2+ years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- AMAP certified.
- Knowledge of OPWDD medical and medication regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time position.
- No explicit call, weekend, or night shift information provided.
