Speech Language Pathologist – Amherst Outpatient Rehabilitation & Therapy

Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist prevents, assesses, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages by performing evaluations and developing customized treatment plans. Responsibilities also include instructing patients and families, coordinating care with the treatment team, and potentially precepting students or directing aides and volunteers.

Requirements

Candidates must be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice, with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred upon hire and required within one year. Preferred work experience is two years in an equivalent setting, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days.
