Key Responsibilities

The Pathologist Assistant performs gross examinations and dissections of surgical specimens while assisting pathologists with autopsies and frozen section procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance, and documenting findings accurately.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and be a graduate of an NAACLS accredited Pathologist Assistant program with ASCP certification. At least one year of experience is preferred, though on-the-job training certified candidates may be considered.
