Key Responsibilities

Provision of individual treatment, education and ongoing assessment of progress to patients using evidence

based modalities including: cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), interpersonal therapy, and trauma

informed care

Facilitation of abstinence

Requirements

Completion of a Master’s degree program in Counselling, Social Work, Psychotherapy

Registration in good standing as required by professional body, e. g. CCPA, BCACC, CCAC, NSCCT

Experience is an asset however new graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience facilitating group programs and therapeutic groups is required.

Experience working in a residential mental health and addiction treatment setting is considered a strong asset.

Benefits & Compensation

Hourly rate: $48.1/hr.
