The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care and implementing treatment programs under the direction of a Physical Therapist. They must also contribute to the development of services and remain flexible to meet the needs of various facilities within the system.
Candidates must hold a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice and possess a current BLS certification. One year of clinical experience is preferred, along with a commitment to caring for chronically and critically ill patients.
