About the Role

Join Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital as a Full Time Adjunctive Therapist 7:00am-5:30pm in United States. The Adjunctive Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and conducting therapy programs. Instructs or supervises patients in recreational activities as part of a therapeutic psychiatric treatment program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and direct therapeutic recreational programs and activities for patients.
  • Develop treatment plan to meet needs of patient, based on needs assessment, patient interests and objectives of therapy.
  • Conduct therapy sessions to improve patients’ mental and physical well-being.
  • Observe, analyze, and record patients’ participation, reactions, and progress during treatment sessions, modifying treatment programs as needed.

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time position.
  • Day shift only - no nights.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Fitness, Art, or a related field is required, and a current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) license is preferred. Candidates need one year of experience in inpatient adjunctive therapy and basic knowledge of human behavior, assessment, and group dynamics.
