About the Role

Join Squamish Nation as a Social Worker Team Assistant in United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to Social Workers and case management teams, including attending and arranging meetings, taking notes, participating in case conferences, and offering input on client matters.
  • Assist with client‑centered activities such as supporting youth in care, interacting with children and foster parents, supervising access visits, and transporting clients.
  • Support with legal document preparation and coordination of administrative aspects of client case management.
  • Organize supplies and materials needed by Social Work teams to deliver services.

Requirements

  • Diploma or certificate in Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Human Services, Social Sciences, or a related child/family field.
  • Commitment to ongoing training related to childcare, life planning, analyzing client needs, and supporting children and families.
  • 2–3 years of experience working directly with children, youth, and families; supporting Social Workers; assisting with administrative or court‑related processes; and performing the duties outlined.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and online research tools.
