About the Role

Join Jackson Health as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician – 1PM-10PM, 120hrs Monthly in United States. Department: Jackson South Medical Center- Pediatric Emergency Medicine Department (PEM) Address: 9333 SW 152nd Street, Miami, FL 33157 (Jackson South ED) & 1611 NW 12 Ave, Miami, FL 33136 (Holtz Children's Hospital Pedi ED). Will split time between the 2 facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Performs medical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment to System patients.

Provides direct patient care on a daily basis and provides all necessary medical record documentation including Medicare/Medicaid and third party payers.

Requirements

Performs CPT and ICD10 coding for each patient encounter.

Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.

Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.

Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
