About the Role
Join UnityPoint Health as a Behavioral Counselor-Inpatient Peds Mental Health-Lutheran in United States. Overview Under the supervision of an RN provides direct patient care to patients on the pediatric mental health inpatient unit. Performs procedures for patients and provides technical services and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence/Patient Care: Completes Mental Health Assessments on patients after admission.
- Provides milieu and skill building groups to patients and provides 1:1 supervision as needed.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Answers patient call lights.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health related field Required.
- Experience: Previous healthcare and behavioral healthcare experience preferred.
- License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
