About the Role
Join UnityPoint Health as a Speech Pathologist-Rehab in United States. Overview UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital Full-Time M-F, 8 hr shifts The staff Speech Therapist functions as an integral part of the rehabilitation team and has a responsibility for evaluating and treating patients requiring services associated with speech therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilizes of appropriate Speech Therapy interventions to produce desired outcomes.
- Utilizes of appropriate documentation and billing to communicate progress and status to physicians, other healthcare professionals and third party reimbursement.
- Utilizes critical thinking in making independent judgements and maintains responsibility and accountability for the knowledge of conditions of assigned patients.

- Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.
- Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.
- Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff.
