Staff Physician

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of exemplary, comprehensive ambulatory patient care to include a comprehensive assessment (a thorough history and physical as well as any indicated labs, imaging and other studies) and formulation of evidence based treatment plans.

• Maintain confidentiality and be reliably available to patients when they seek care or advice.

• Demonstrate knowledge of counseling experience with patients regarding medical and/or psychological problems, provide preventive care and consult as appropriate when a higher level of care is indicated.

• Demonstrate competency with, and knowledge of, healthcare related technology using electronic health records and computerized medical programs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements

• University faculty and staff and their dependants.  The staff physician will deliver care that is concordant with the expressly Christian mission and vision of the university and with the Baylor in Deeds strategic plan in pursuit of the flourishing of the whole Baylor community.

• Doctoral degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred.

• All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
