About the Role
Join Forrest City Medical Center as a PRN Pharmacist – As Needed, Variable Shifts in United States. The PRN Pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely preparation and dispensing of medications within the healthcare facility. This role supports pharmacy operations on an as-needed basis and ensures compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Compound and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Review, verify, and interpret prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions
- Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) to ensure safe and effective medication therapy
- Respond to and manage incoming physician calls regarding medication orders, clarifications, and recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (B. S. Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required LICENSURE
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Arkansas (or applicable state) required
- In good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
Work Schedule
- Per Diem position.
- Call responsibilities required.
- Weekend coverage may be required.
