Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with a physician to expand individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating acute or chronic health conditions through assessment, ordering diagnostic studies, and providing direct management. Responsibilities also include counseling and educating patients and families, and accurately documenting all healthcare delivery processes according to specialty standards.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree of Nursing and hold the Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire. A requirement is obtaining BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, with DEA credentialing being preferred.
