About the Role

Join Greater Mental Health of New York as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Youth ACT in United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as prescriber for all Youth ACT clients.
  • Prescribe psychotropic medications and conduct regular assessments of therapeutic responses and side effects, and educate clients regarding psychotropic medications.
  • Perform individual, group, and family supportive therapy and illness education in the process of carrying out the tasks above.
  • Responsible for adhering to all standards and guidelines established by applicable regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Must be currently licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the NYS Education Department. Must maintain licensure and be in good standing though
  • out employment with GMHNY.
  • Current licensure by the New York State Education Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration is also required.
  • Basic Computer knowledge is required.

Work Schedule

  • Part-Time position.
  • Hybrid position - combination of remote and on-site.
  • Call responsibilities required.
