About the Role
Join Greater Mental Health of New York as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Youth ACT in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as prescriber for all Youth ACT clients.
- Prescribe psychotropic medications and conduct regular assessments of therapeutic responses and side effects, and educate clients regarding psychotropic medications.
- Perform individual, group, and family supportive therapy and illness education in the process of carrying out the tasks above.
- Responsible for adhering to all standards and guidelines established by applicable regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Must be currently licensed as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by the NYS Education Department. Must maintain licensure and be in good standing though
- out employment with GMHNY.
- Current licensure by the New York State Education Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration is also required.
- Basic Computer knowledge is required.
