About the Role
Join Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health as a Genetic Counselor - Genetics in United States. Overview This position is part Time Remote. Provides genetic counseling to individuals or families, coordinates screening and diagnostic testing, and provides follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates aspects of genetic consultations for individuals and families.
- Provides triage for referrals, incoming calls, and inpatient consults.
- Obtains and evaluates individual, pregnancy, medical, and family histories to determine genetic risk for genetic or medical conditions in a patient, their offspring, and other family members.
- Discusses the features, natural history, means of diagnosis, genetic and environmental factors, and management for genetic or medical conditions with patients and families.
Requirements
- ABMGG) within 1095 days If certified Genetic counselor prior to 1991, certification from the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics required
Work Schedule
- Full-time position.
