The therapist performs non-invasive cardiac testing and manages patient exercise programs for those with cardiovascular or pulmonary conditions. They also collaborate in the pacemaker/ICD clinic to assist with remote monitoring and device reprogramming.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physical education. Current licensure is required for clinical backgrounds, along with the ability to interpret ECG rhythms and assess vital signs.
