About the Role

Join Baystate Health as a Inpatient Medical Social Worker – Day Shift in United States.

Key Responsibilities

related to direct clinical services.

Responsible for addressing the psychosocial issues that arise in acute care, emergency department and/or other inpatient settings, through a range of focused Social Work interventions and practices.

Services are provided upon referral by nursing staff/physicians, community contacts, or by patients or their families.

Services address those areas of psycho-social functioning that adversely affect or are affected by the patient’s medical condition, coping skills, and/or discharge status.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary: $77K - $113K

25 days PTO.

401(k) with employer match.

Work Schedule

Full-Time position.

Call responsibilities required.

Weekend coverage may be required.

Day shift only - no nights.

This position offers day shifts only. Work with Baystate Health in United States.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s in Social Work and hold an active LCSW or LICSW license in Massachusetts, along with a minimum of three years of experience as a practicing social worker in a healthcare or social service setting. Key responsibilities include comprehensive psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and active participation in the care management team for discharge planning.
