Urgent Care - Nurse Practitioner - PRN

Ochsner Clinic Foundation in Metairie, Louisiana seeks a PRN Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join their inter-professional team. This role involves providing efficient, high-quality outpatient, telehealth, and occupational medicine care under the supervision of a Medical Director in a collaborative practice model.

You will obtain patient histories, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and manage health conditions using prescriptive authority or referrals. Minor procedures such as laceration repair and incision and drainage are part of the duties. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff development, and education.

Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Nursing, be licensed as an APRN in Louisiana, and hold certifications including Family Nurse Practitioner ANCC/AANPCP or Adult/Geriatric and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certifications. BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. Eligibility for prescriptive authority within the state is mandatory.
