Key Responsibilities
- 1. Performs pre and post anesthesia assessments on patients.
- 7. Assists in post-anesthesia care, including medicating patients as needed, fluid management, respiratory weaning and endotracheal extubation.
Requirements
- Masters and/or Doctoral degree in related field, required.
- Graduate from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), required.
- Unemcumbered license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
- American Heart Association BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, required.

- 6. Under direct medical supervision, performs general anesthesia including airway management and all levels of sedation and monitored anesthesia care in an anesthetizing location.
