About the Role
Join ATC Marietta as a Pharmacist Inpatient- 16 Weeks contract assignment in Dothan, AL in United States. JOB SUMMARY The PHARMACIST, under general supervision, provides pharmacy services to patients and medical practitioners. Fills prescriptions, dispenses medicines, counsels patients and medical practitioners regarding the nature and use of drugs, and trains and/or supervises pharmacy interns.
Key Responsibilities
- Complies with ATC policies/procedures.
- Complies with client facility policies/procedures.
- Documents accurately and completely services provided.
- Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Requirements
- Complies with accepted ethical and professional standards of conduct.
- Possesses knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
- Prepares and/or oversees the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications to patients or medical practitioners; makes decisions regarding generic substitution of prescribed pharmaceuticals.
- Counsels patients and/or medical practitioners on drug indications/contraindications, dosage, drug interactions, and side effects; provides other drug and pharmaceutical information as appropriate.
