This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

About the Role

Join UCP of Maine as a K-4 School Social Worker in United States. Description Brief description of the position The School Social Worker will meet provide socioemotional support to children ages 4-12 in a special education setting. This support may include individual counseling, social skills group, or support during a behavioral crisis.

Key Responsibilities

  • 4th grade individually or in groups. · Provide modeling for other staff in handling de
  • escalation in a kind, ethical manner. · Provide clinical training to ed tech and teaching staff on topics such as trauma, friendship
  • building, or coping skill usage.

Requirements

  • QUALIFICATIONS · Licensed Clinician (LCPC preferred).
  • · Experience with, or willingness to learn about, children with Autism Spectrum disorder, ADHD and trauma.
  • · Knowledge of developmental milestones and behavioral interventions.
  • · Must obtain CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire (provided by UCP).
