They are also responsible for documenting patient care, maintaining equipment, and responding to emergency calls throughout the hospital.
Candidates must possess a valid California license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Depending on the classification level, registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) is required.
