Key Responsibilities

  • THE UCC SOCIAL WORKER/THERAPIST FUNCTIONS AS A MEMBER OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER COUNSELING CENTER SENIOR STAFF GROUP.
  • THEY PROVIDE PSYCHOSOCIAL ASSESSMENT, DIAGNOSIS AND BRIEF THERAPY TO UR STUDENTS.
  • ASSISTS IN COMMUNITY REFERRAL AND MAINTAINING COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS FOR REFERRALS.
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides direct individual, couples and group mental health care services to UR students using various short term psychotherapy treatment approaches.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Social Work is required, with a Bachelor's degree in public health or related fields preferred. Three years of full-time clinical experience and experience with diverse college-age populations are preferred, along with required NYS certification and licensure.
