About the Role

Join Hudson River Housing Inc as a Street Outreach Counselor - River Haven in United States.

Key Responsibilities

Conducts regular street outreach throughout Dutchess County, including high-traffic areas and locations where youth are known to congregate.

Builds relationships with schools, youth organizations, and community partners to identify youth in need and coordinate services.

Represents the program at community events, health fairs, and tabling opportunities to promote services and raise awareness.

Provides immediate crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.

Requirements

Supports the planning and implementation of youth development and engagement activities in the community, including the ongoing development of the Youth Action Board.

Participates in team meetings, required trainings, and collaborative outreach efforts.

Works flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to effectively reach youth where and when they are most accessible.

Job Requirements Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior youth work experience preferred.

Salary: $22.47 per hour
