Key Responsibilities
- Prepares treatment room and equipment.
- Positions patient and adjusts the linear accelerator to concentrate radiation exposure on the tumor cells following the treatment plan developed in conjunction with radiation oncologist.
- Explains procedure to patient.
- Delivers accurately the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy.
Requirements
- Current licensure as required by state Texas board eligible in Radiation Therapy by the American Registry of Radiology Technology.
- Maintain ARRT certification in radiation therapy with a minimum of documented 24 hours of continuing education.
- Current BLS/CPR Certification.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time position.
- No explicit call, weekend, or night shift information provided.
