Key Responsibilities

This role involves working as a casual Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to cover absences within the Emergency Duty Team, which provides out-of-hours social work services for Central Bedfordshire, Bedford Borough, and Luton Borough Councils. The primary duty is responding to emergency social care and Mental Health Act Assessments to ensure the immediate protection and safeguarding of children, young people, and at-risk adults.

Requirements

Essential requirements include holding a full UK driving license with access to personal transport, possessing a Degree in Social Work or equivalent, being registered with Social Work England or an equivalent body, and holding the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification.
