Psychiatric Counselor - Nights

Key Responsibilities

The Psychiatric Counselor manages the milieu, patient assignments, and leads groups within the adult psychiatric unit, while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team on patient treatment plans. Responsibilities also include encouraging patients in ADLs, communicating changes to the RN, and accurately documenting patient care records.

Requirements

A High School Diploma is required, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred. Candidates should ideally have at least one year of experience working with psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting and must maintain CPI and BCLS certifications.
