Join Houston Hospice as a Hospice Social Worker (LMSW) - Full-time for El Campo Team in United States. This position is recruiting for a FT Social Worker (LMSW) in the El Campo, Texas service area. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family counseling to patients/family and/or bereaved persons.
  • Evaluate the patient’s/family’s responses to psychosocial interventions and assess the need for counseling.
  • Identify the developmental level of the patient/family/caregiver and obstacles to learning or the ability to participate in the care of the patient/family, including questions and issues.
  • Provide bereavement counseling and programs as appropriate to families, and within the community as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Social Work undergraduate degree from a school of social work accredited or approved by the Council on Social Work Education; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of Texas to practice Social Work.
  • One year licensed social work healthcare experience REQUIRED. Experience in the hospice industry preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
