Key Responsibilities

  • (On‑the‑job training provided) As a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist, you will: Conduct psychological assessments and interventions to people who offend and/or are on remand.
  • Provide expert consultation to staff on offender mental health and criminogenic risk assessment, including sexual and violent offending.
  • Preparing reports, advice and consultations, and maintaining concise documentation and case notes for offenders engaging in psychological services and programs.
  • Maintain accurate records using the Offender Integrated Management System (OIMS).

Requirements

  • for A motivated psychologist committed to delivering ethical, effective services in a community corrections environment.
  • Experience or strong interest in community‑based offender assessment, criminogenic risk assessment, and behavioural intervention.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based approaches to risk, mental health, cognitive impairment, and behaviour management Strong skills in report writing, consultation, and interagency collaboration.
  • Ability to work flexibly and resiliently with individuals who have complex needs.
