Registered Dietitian - Dialysis

Key Responsibilities

The dietitian will review monthly lab work with patients, educating them on necessary dietary and medication changes to improve outcomes, and will also complete nutrition assessments and potentially attend patient rounds with the nephrologist. A core function involves analyzing lab results and using education and persuasion skills to help patients understand how diet directly affects their lab levels.

Licensure & Certifications

A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a similar area is required, along with a licensed Registered Dietitian license in the state of application; one year of clinic experience is preferred, though newly licensed dietitians are considered. Candidates must be comfortable with a large caseload (100-125 patients), possess intermediate computer skills, and successfully complete the Competency Assessment for Renal Dietitians (CARD) after hire.
