About the Role

Join UHS as a Occupational Therapist - Medical Unit- $5000 sign on bonus in United States. Responsibilities Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. We have served the Austin community for over 60-years and are proud of our history and tenured leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres.

We have served the Austin community for over 60-years and are proud of our history and tenured leadership team.

Today, Texas NeuroRehab Center provides complex medical and brain injury rehab for ages 13 years and older and neurobehavioral residential treatment services for children and adolescents.

The capabilities of the facility as a whole allow for integrated and specialized care for children, adolescents and adults facing difficult challenges.

Requirements

For employment on the medical units, knowledge of neurodevelopment treatment and motor control and understanding of neurological dysfunction and its effect on motor performance.

Knowledge of traumatic brain injury, cerebrovascular accidents, neuropsychological and physical disability evaluations and how to conduct appropriate Occupational Therapy intervention.

For employment on the neuropsychiatric units, knowledge of sensory processing and sensory motor disorders, its impact on developmental and psychosocial skills, and appropriate treatment interventions.
