Nephrologist

About the Role

Provide comprehensive nephrology care at UPMC in Cumberland, Maryland. This role includes inpatient and outpatient care, consultations, and management of kidney diseases including hypertension, dialysis, and transplant management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage diseases of the kidney and hypertension.
• Perform specialized diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Manage all modalities of dialysis and kidney transplant care.
• Review patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Prescribe diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Perform kidney biopsies and emergent hemodialysis access as needed.
• Address complex kidney care issues such as hypertension, immunosuppression, bone and mineral metabolism, anemia, and hyperlipidemia.
