Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to perform the following skills:
• 1. Triage and provide appropriate care for employee injuries and illnesses following medical protocols.
• 2. Conduct screenings for comprehensive wellness and medical surveillance exams.
• 7. Ability to provide first aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in emergency situations following BLS protocols.
• 13. Maintain a daily census and a log of activities including medical service or assistance rendered.
• 14. Coordinate with the physician and government nurse to provide high quality patient care in a caring and professional manner.

Requirements

• Current, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky

• 6. Counsel employees on preventative health measures and procedures.
• 10. Maintain employee medical files within federal guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of health and personal information.
• 12. Schedule comprehensive employee health maintenance examinations.
• Two (2) years employment in an Occupational Health Clinic
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification, or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of service in the Louisville District Occupational Health Unit.
