Key Responsibilities

Collects data to include: Intake and output, weight, temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.

Performs skin assessments.

Recognizes and immediately reports values outside normal parameters to the nurse.

Demonstrates awareness of age-specific considerations in gathering these assessments (children, adolescents, adults, older adults).

Requirements

Required education is a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within 180 days. Preferred experience includes one year in acute care inpatient hospital settings, a Certified Nurses Aide certification, or completion of the first semester of nursing clinicals.
