The speech pathologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in adult patients within a home health setting. They also provide aural rehabilitation and implement augmentative and alternative communication systems for patients with severe communication needs.
Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered state license to practice speech pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). A current CPR certification is required, and at least one year of experience in speech pathology is preferred.
