About the Role
Join Eastern Virginia Medical School as a Advanced Practice Provider – Sickle Cell, $105K in United States. Overview The Department of Medicine has developed a Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program in collaboration with the Departments of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Psychiatry. This program is supported by EVMS and Sentara Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose, & develop treatment plans for patients with sickle cell disease as well as patients in the area of Primary Care in accordance with protocols and standards of care.
- Differentiate between normal and abnormal findings and orders appropriate diagnostic studies.
- Provide anticipatory guidance and counseling to patients/families.
Requirements
- to insure proper billing.
- Initiate and coordinate referrals to other health care team members or agencies.
- Serve as a consultative resource to nursing staff.
- Participate in the development, utilization and evaluation of resources to meet patient/family educational needs.
