Key Responsibilities

  • Upon Physician referral, performs thorough evaluation of patient’s level of function.
  • Performs evaluations regarding sensory modulation, sensory based coping skills, perceptual-cognitive motor function, and functional abilities of daily living.
  • Recognizes physiological, psychological and age related changes in the patient.
  • Consults with other Health Care Team members as necessary.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy is required, with a Master's or Doctorate preferred, along with registration by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and a current State of CT Occupational Therapy license. Previous experience as an OT, especially with psychiatric or chemical dependency issues in children, adolescents, and adults, is preferred.
