Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and mental health/risk assessments and diagnostics for shelter residents.

• Oversee delivery of individual and group health and behavioral health promotion interventions.

• Provide short-term psychiatric care including medication management.

• Collaborate with the team to conduct the required assessments and prepare applications for permanent supportive housing.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.

• Current NYS license as a Registered Nurse or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of NY, NPP: Nurse Practitioner required.

• A minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience is required.

• Nursing Supervisor/Psychiatric Nurse Principal Responsibilities: Conduct physical and mental health/risk assessments and diagnostics for shelter residents.
