About the Role

Waukesha County's Department of Health & Human Services is recruiting an LTE Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join the pool nursing team in the Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Use Services Clinic. This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing support for clients receiving psychiatric prescribing services.
  • Administer injectable psychotropic medications.
  • Conduct vitals assessment, health education, urine drug screens.
  • Coordinate with pharmacies and psychiatric prescribers.
  • Perform order entry and triage client inquiries.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a recognized registered nursing program.
  • Current Wisconsin RN license or temporary permit with license attainment within 6 months.
  • Alternatively, may underfill as Licensed Practical Nurse with appropriate licensure.
