The Clinical Pharmacist interprets and verifies medication orders while providing clinical consultation and monitoring drug therapies for safety. They also supervise pharmacy support staff and participate in emergent bedside alerts and quality improvement initiatives.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy and possess a valid pharmacist license in Virginia. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
