The APRN provides direct clinical services for pediatric patients, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic illnesses in collaboration with a physician. They also coordinate care with families, participate in staff education, and contribute to quality improvement or research projects.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program and possess national certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in pediatrics. Proficiency in clinical documentation and evidence-based practice is required, with BLS and PALS certifications preferred.
