Key Responsibilities
- Provides individualized patient care to ensure the safety and dignity of the patient.
- 1 Follows the patient care plan preserving patients' safety, dignity and autonomy.
- Assists the nursing staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu to support safety, care and treatment on the unit.
- 1 Initiates patient activities and social interactions in individual and group situations/settings consistent with the individual.
Requirements
- EDUCATION Graduation from high school supplemented by at least two (2) years of college; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- EXPERIENCE A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric facility, i.
-, an inpatient unit or an outpatient psychiatric clinic.
- SPECIAL SKILLS Ability to deal effectively with agitated or violent patients.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time position.
- Weekend coverage may be required.
