Physician Assistant Urgent Care

About the Role

Join Baylor Scott & White Health as a full-time Physician Assistant in urgent care. Work 10-hour shifts with a fixed schedule including weekends. Serve adult patients with a supportive team including LVNs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in urgent care setting.
• Perform physical exams and obtain medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within scope.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans.
• Counsel patients and families on health management.
• Maintain detailed medical records.
• Perform procedures delegated by supervising physician.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited PA program.
• Current PA license in Texas.
• NCCPA certification.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: At least 1 year relevant experience.
• Comfortable working with geriatric population.

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 1.0 FTE.
• 10-hour shifts.
• Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun.
• Week 2: Wed, Thu.
• Weekday hours: 8 AM - 8 PM.
• Weekend hours: 9 AM - 5 PM.
• Weekend coverage required.
