Key Responsibilities

Provides comprehensive mental health and/or dual diagnosis services for individuals who have a diagnosable mental illness.

The therapist functions as the primary clinician and is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, and therapy/counseling, for patients and families.

Systematically and continually assesses the patient’s mental health concerns and strengths in collaboration with the patient and family.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provides direct evidence-informed clinical treatment to assigned patients, including individual and family therapy; as well as crisis intervention.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree from a CACREP-accredited program in mental health counseling. Additionally, they are required to possess or obtain NYS licensure as a mental health practitioner within 36 months of employment.
