This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

Key Responsibilities

Performs social work assessment and crisis intervention for patients and family members presenting to the Emergency Department for care.

Anticipates patient's and/or patient's family needs and expectations and utilizes these in conjunction with assessment to help develop appropriate plan of care for patient.

In collaboration with the psychiatrist on call, identifies psychiatric emergencies.

Assesses the potential for self-harm/suicidal ideation and coordinates voluntary and involuntary treatment/commitment procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-certified institution and have two years of experience, along with an active LMSW license in Texas, actively pursuing LCSW licensure. Preferred experience includes working within an Emergency Department setting.
