Key Responsibilities

The Pharmacist reviews medication orders, dispenses drugs after ensuring appropriateness regarding dose and route, and checks for clinical conflicts based on patient data and allergies. They are also responsible for inventory control and providing drug information support to the healthcare team.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy is required, though a PharmD is preferred, along with one year of hospital experience or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience. A Pennsylvania Pharmacist License is mandatory, and Basic Life Support certification is preferred.
